Lately, there has been talk of letterboxing in the nude. This idea creeps me out.
The ink pads don't last that long anyway, I mean the tacky thumb prints are bad enough but, that is the only body part I would want to see stamped into my logbook.
So, I respectfully request that anyone seeking The Covered Bridge series in NH to do so with clothes on. At least until you rehide the box, then I don't care if you run through the briar patch with no loin cloth on. :)

Considering the amount of poison ivy by Squam Bridge L.B., naked boxing would
be extremely ill advised!! :) Sorry Son of a Sailor; I couldn't resist! :)
Safe trails,

( For those able to get to it; Squam Bridge L.B. is a great stamp!)

I never would have considered it until you wrote about it, but
now... Hmmmm. You make it sound so... taboo. Maybe now is
the time before the weather turns cold.
I'll have to get back to you on this...

During a hot summer , 2 years ago we found that the LB on top of North
Point (Stoppel Point -NY) had been stamped in by a "band" of nude hikers
(so it was written in the pages of the LB ). We never saw tail or hide
oft them............Ha!................. Budster of the Catskills

Has NO ONE boxed in the nude?
One instance (I will not share the other), I was faced with a washed
out trail.
Water from the creek had risen and flowed well over the bridge.
We had been warned of this by another boxer who'd already ventured
that way and decided to go the long way around.
I simply stripped and waded the stream.
(She still beat me there. CURSE YOU FIREFLY!)
The only impression I left in the book was of my stamp.
But, now that it's been suggested.....(the ink is non-toxic, right?)
PIv.

Cavers are notoriously immodest. It comes from changing out of muddy caving gear behind your car on the side of the road. In front of your fellow grotto members...who are also changing. I have done many things in the nude and in large groups that I will not share here. Letterboxing is not one of them.....yet. Oh, and some of my grotto members now box with me. Hmmmmm.....could make for a very intersting event stamp.

I've never found a box in the nude, but I did plant one while in the
buff at the Arizona Hot Springs.
But there's a lot of nude people running around that place, so I
didn't feel too out of the ordinary. =)

Check out the White Rock Canyon Letterbox #2 (Boulder City, NV) The
stamp is of a "naked" guy caught in the act of "hot-tubbing" in the
hot springs along this hike. :-)
